About Us
Where do stray dogs come from? Why is the population expanding so quickly? Why should people be in charge of their own health?
A nonprofit organization called Furry Fiesta works to save, care for, and rehabilitate stray, injured, and abandoned animals throughout India. Since our founding, we have led the way in offering lifelong support, medical care, and shelter to animals without any other means of survival. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the welfare and dignity of animals without a voice, from vaccination campaigns and emergency rescue operations to neutering. We care about the lives of every animal we rescue.
Our existence is defined by the answers to these questions, which each of us must possess.
Thousands of years ago, humans domesticated and bred dogs and cats for a variety of uses, including protection, hunting, and keeping pests away. The need for these domesticated dogs and cats decreased as time and technology advanced, which resulted in their abandonment.
The nation’s poor waste management allowed these stray dogs and cats to scavenge for food. Their quick reproduction caused their population to grow, especially since there was an abundance of food in landfills due to inadequate waste management.
Since humans are to blame for the domestication and population growth of these stray dogs, it is our duty to manage their numbers humanely and provide for their basic needs.
A nonprofit organization called Furry Fiesta promotes the welfare of stray animals. We have our headquarters in Burdwan and were incorporated in 2021.
Founded in 2021, Furry Fiesta is a registered 12A/80G trust that provides assistance to dogs throughout India. A “shelter” is not what the Furry Fiesta Sanctuary & Hospital is. We don’t offer our dogs for adoption. Every dog at Furry Fiesta has a name and feels at home; they stay here for life.
Our Furry Fiesta family grows by 200–250 dogs every year. These are dogs that have previously been sexually assaulted, run over and paralyzed, blinded by acid, slashed with knives, or tied to train tracks to perish. Furry Fiesta attracts dogs from many different cities, including Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Chennai, Trivandrum, Indore, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Cochin, and many more.

Is it possible for me to volunteer for FURRYFIESTA?
Yes. Volunteers from all backgrounds are welcome to help with a variety of tasks, including animal rescue, rehabilitation, shelter maintenance, and awareness campaigns.
How can an animal from Furry Fiesta be adopted?
Visit our shelter to get to know the animals that are up for adoption. In order to make sure the animal is a suitable fit for your home, we will walk you through the adoption process.
